Hokudai/Cast 254: Merry

We have a short Hokudai/Cast today. We only have Word/Play and two songs. Word/Play deals with the word Merry. We can see Merry in phrases like:

Merry Christmas

Merry-go-round

Merry Olde England

Make merry

Merry way

But it is an old word and fading fast from our vocabulary. In the 13th and 14th centuries, it was a relatively new and vibrant word. It meant vibrant, exciting, pleasant.

Our Music is first, Re:Make by One OK Rock from mp3skull.com. It is in Japanese and English.

The second song is called 喜欢 (Like) by 张悬 (Zhang Xuan). It's from Last.fm and is in 语文 (Chinese).
