Hokudai/Cast 254: Merry

We have a short Hokudai/Cast today. We only have Word/Play and two songs. Word/Play deals with the word Merry. We can see Merry in phrases like:

Merry Christmas

Merry Olde England

Make merry

Merry way

But it is an old word and fading fast from our vocabulary. In the 13th and 14th centuries, it was a relatively new and vibrant word. It meant vibrant, exciting, pleasant.

Our Music is first, Re:Make by One OK Rock from It is in Japanese and English.

The second song is called 喜欢 (Like) by 张悬 (Zhang Xuan). It's from and is in 语文 (Chinese).
