With the internet and hundreds of online language learning sites and podcasts, people can learn nearly any language in the comfort of their own homes. This has never been available to people before. It is an exciting time! As recently as only 10 years ago, if you wanted to learn a foreign language you had to buy a book, or find a school that provided classes, or - and this is the most fun - go to wherever that language was spoken in order to learn it; live, work, and play in a foreign country. But now we have easy access to sounds, books, and videos to teach us. We can learn anything if we put our minds to it.
In the coming months, we hope to show you some videos, podcasts, and blogs that will help you learn English, Chinese, and Japanese. If you have any favorite sites, let us know and we'll pass them along to everyone else.
