Hokudai/Cast 54: A Sunny Lunacy

The Ides of March are tomorrow. The Ides of March means a dangerous day. Why? Because on March 15, 44 BC Julius Caesar was assassinated by some Roman senators. 2000 years later we are still using the phrase "beware the ides of March" as a warning.

Also tomorrow: many, many Hokuriku University students are rushing off to other parts of the world to study English and Chinese. Some will be gone one year, others for six months. I hope all of them will have a good time. If you want to study abroad at Hokuriku University, contact the International Office. If you want to study English in China, contact the EIC office. Other students are quietly staying at home and studying (maybe) during Spring vacation.

Word/Play today is about crazy sunny words. Words on Word/Play are words that have something to do with the Sun and the Moon: solar, solarium, solar power, solar system, lunar, lunatic, lunacy, aquarium and auditorium. Please remember that sol = sun and luna = moon. Also, aqua = water and audio = sound or listen.

After Word/Play we have Manzi's Prison Art. Please listen; the lead guitarist is one of the Hokuriku University students who is not going abroad to study. But maybe not so quietly.
