Groundhog Day is a fun day where people can, if they remember that it is Groundhog Day, have a party and enjoy themselves. Most people don't remember until they see news on TV that Phil either saw his shadow or didn't. What does it mean if he sees his shadow? Winter will last six more weeks. If he doesn't see his shadow, it means spring is just around the corner - It's coming soon!
The next time you see an American, ask if they know when Groundhog Day is. (And no, not the movie staring Bill Murray.) By they way, Phil is the name of the groundhog.
