Summer vacation and what are you going to do? "Books to take to the beach." What does that mean? It means there is a tradition in the US of people going to the beach to sunbathe. Sit or lie in the sun and sometimes eat, drink but mainly get a suntan. Not to be bored, they bring a book. Usually a thick book with lots of action. This year I think it's going to be:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow.
To improve your English or Chinese over the summer, you should read a little bit everyday, listen to a little bit everyday, and write a little bit everyday.
And if you have the chance, speak a little bit everyday. It might be fun. (
Don't study grammar for six hours everyday unless you're planning on taking a grammar test September 1st.)
